PROPOSAL – For The Re-Inhabited Republic For Florida
TO: Honorable MICHAEL BISHOP, Governor, Florida
From: Jim Costa
Date: Sept. 13, 2024
The Problem:
The Governor is trapped between wanting to make decisions for the state and at the same time taking directions from National.
He states he is fearful of singularly making decisions that should be made by the legislative branch.
We are in a time crisis to stand up. Decisions need to be made, but by whom?
Facts & Assumptions:
- Currently our State only has one Representative and two Senators, a total of three members of the Legislative Branch.
I am sorry but I do not know their backgrounds. Are they prepared to guide us business wise and politically as we struggle to meet our deadlines? - It appears to me that the National has its hands full at the moment as well. We are just one of 50 trying to get their attention and support. We need undivided attention on ourselves right now. We need to reach decisions or we may flounder.
- There are currently seven elected state officers not counting Micheal.
- We are in a desperate business start-up stage if I ever saw one. Many businesses survive this stage. How do they do it?
From my experience by doing two things. First they cheat. They do whatever it takes to get themselves up and running. There is no rule book in accomplishing this. They react to problems “on the fly”.
Secondly they load up a temporary Board of Directors/Advisors. They even bring in ringers as advisors to brainstorm options quickly. They may not meet formally but there is constant communication.
The Plan
- View Michael as the CEO and the other state officers as Board of Directors/Advisors as much as possible for major decisions.
- Use consensus as much as possible.
Pros & Cons
Costs: Zero
Pros: There is no other way for the State to proceed. We can’t afford staying stuck in the mud.
Cons: May Upset National
Action Requested From Two Parties
- Both Michael and the Other Officers need to decide this issue, separately.
- Approve or disapprove.
- If agreeable, Cause it to happen.
